1. Who you are contracting with

These terms are between you and Elliott Staley, trading as London Handstand Academy, a sole trader established in England. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "the Academy", they mean that business.

Correspondence address. [[ADDRESS TO BE ADDED]]

By creating an account, subscribing, booking a session or attending a workshop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. We are not currently VAT registered. Prices can change, but a change never affects a month you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a change applies to your next payment.

3. Your account

You need an email address and a password to use the app. You must be 16 or over to hold an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to the waiver on your behalf before you take part in coaching or attend a session.

Keep your password to yourself. Your account is for you alone — it is not to be shared, and we may suspend an account we believe is being shared. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.

4. The £5 app subscription

The full ladder is a rolling monthly subscription taken through Stripe. It renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.

You can cancel at any time from the app or the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend access to paid content until it succeeds.

5. Coaching

Coaching is a monthly service, billed in advance, that includes a written programme built for you, ongoing messaging, and video form checks at the cadence agreed for your tier. Coaching begins once the onboarding assessment is complete.

What we commit to

What we ask of you

Coaching is not a guarantee of a result. Progress in handstand work depends on your consistency, your starting point, your body and your recovery. We do not promise that you will reach a particular skill in a particular time.

6. Workshops and in-person sessions

Workshop places are confirmed when payment clears and are limited by the size of the room. A place is personal to you but may be transferred to someone else if you tell us before the day and they accept these terms and the waiver.

If we cancel a workshop or an in-person session, you get a full refund or a place on another date, whichever you prefer.

For one-to-one in-person sessions, please give at least 24 hours' notice to move or cancel. A session cancelled with less notice may be charged in full, because the time cannot realistically be filled.

7. Cancelling and refunds

Your legal right to cancel

Because you are buying online as a consumer, you normally have 14 days from the day you sign up to change your mind and get your money back.

Digital content is an exception. When you buy the full ladder or a coaching month, you get access immediately, and by starting to use it you ask us to begin straight away and accept that you lose the 14-day right once the service has been delivered. If you have not used the service at all, tell us within 14 days and we will refund you.

Workshops

The 14-day right does not apply to a booking for a specific date. Our own policy is a full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the workshop, and a transfer to another date if you cancel with less notice than that. If you cannot make it at all and cannot transfer, get in touch — we would rather sort something out than leave you out of pocket.

Pausing coaching

If life gets in the way, ask about pausing rather than cancelling. We would usually rather hold your place than lose you.

8. Health, risk and your responsibility

Handstand training carries real risk of injury. It loads the wrists, shoulders and spine, and it involves being inverted and falling. You take part at your own risk.

Before starting, you must read and accept the participation waiver and health declaration, and tell us honestly about injuries, conditions, pregnancy, medication and anything else that could affect your safety.

We are handstand coaches. We are not doctors, physiotherapists or other healthcare professionals, and nothing we give you is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you have a condition or an injury, get clearance from a qualified healthcare professional before you start. If something hurts, stop, and speak to a professional.

9. Our content, and yours

Ours

The programmes, drill videos, written content and the app are ours and are protected by copyright. Your subscription buys you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your subscription lasts.

You may not copy, download, re-upload, resell, share logins for, or coach from our material. Programmes are written for one person's body and history; passing one on can genuinely hurt somebody.

Yours

The footage and photos you send stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to watch them for the purpose of coaching you, and nothing else.

We will not use your footage publicly — in marketing, on social media, or as a testimonial — unless you have separately and specifically said yes. That consent is always optional, never a condition of coaching, and you can withdraw it at any time.

You can ask us to delete your footage at any point and we will. See the privacy policy for how long we keep it otherwise.

10. Acceptable use

Please do not: share your account; upload anything unlawful, or anything featuring someone who has not agreed to being filmed; try to break, probe or overload the app; or harass anyone through the messaging feature. We may suspend or close an account for any of these, and for a serious breach we may do so without a refund.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything here.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it available but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for a third-party service we rely on being unavailable.

12. Changes and ending the agreement

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then if you are not happy with it.

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may end the agreement on reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms — and if we end it without cause, we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid.

13. Complaints and governing law

If something has gone wrong, email info@londonhandstandacademy.com and we will reply within five working days. We would much rather fix it directly.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
